Safeguarding science journalists’ freedoms and rights

EFSJ occasionally publishes statements to support science journalists in their work, and to help protect their livelihoods.

So far, we have issued a statement against the war in Ukraine, published a manifesto for better supporting freelance science journalists, and produced a statement on freedoms, rights and independence of science journalists.

Through these statements, and other activities, we are interested in identifying key challenges facing science journalists in Europe, and helping to address those challenges.
