The European Journalism Centre, in cooperation with DG for Communications Networks, Content & Technology of the European Commission, invites 20 journalists from across Europe to attend a three-day seminar at the ICT 2015 event in Lisbon. The aim of the press trip is to help those attending to get close to the policies and technologies contributing to competitiveness and growth of the EU.

TSchermata 2015-09-22 alle 17.05.55his year’s ICT 2015, the largest and most important ICT event in the EU agenda since 1998, is being organised by the European Commission and Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia and will take place from 20-22 October 2015 in Lisbon. The event aims to bring together over 4500 ICT stakeholders representing research, politics, industry, start-ups, investors, and academia.

The three-day programme consists of a policy conference, an interactive exhibition and vast networking activities and opportunities.

The programme will include plenary speeches by EU Commissioners for Digital Society and Economy, Guenther Oettinger and Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas. Additionally, the trip will include a guided visit to the large exhibition of EU funded projects and opportunities for interviews and fireside chats with a number of experts in the fields of science, academia and research as well as individual companies that started, have grown and benefited from the European funding.

The press trip will take place from 20 to 22 October 2015, with arrival in Lisbon on 19 October and departure on 22 October in the late afternoon.
